Brown Basilisk

Scientific Name: Basiliscus vittatus
Common Name: Brown Basilisk

The Brown Basilisk is sometimes called the Striped Basilisk
because of a yellow stripe running from its head.
You can barely see it on this specimen because
he is an old fella.
The males have the crest on the head.
They are called "Jesus Christ Lizards" because webs between their toes
allow them to run across the surface of water.
